Procedural History

A private complaint was filed by respondent No.2 on 19.04.2021 before X Additional CMM, Mayo Hall, Bengaluru in PCR No.51828/2021 alleging offences under Sections 107, 354A, 500, 506, 120B r/w 34 IPC. The Magistrate vide order dated 18.06.2022 referred the complaint for investigation under Section 156(3) CrPC. Pursuant thereto, FIR No.0278/2022 was registered on 12.12.2022 by Jeevan Bheemanagar Police Station. The petitioners, being the accused, have filed these petitions under Section 482 CrPC seeking quashing of the complaint, the order referring for investigation, and the FIR.
