By advertisement dated 28.03.2021, applications were invited from the eligible candidates for filling up the posts of Police Sub Inspector (PSI) (Female) through direct recruitment.
As of the last date for receipt of the applications (the cut-off date prescribed in the advertisement), the petitioner was holding a learner’s license to drive a light motor vehicle.
On 22.02.2023, the petitioner was informed that the competent authority, upon consideration of the documents, held that the petitioner did not have the essential qualification of possessing a driving license as on the cut-off date and therefore, the petitioner could not be appointed as PSI.
