They also pointed out that this Court had earlier quashed proceedings against Accused Nos.6 and 7 in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.11444 of 2021 dated 07.02.2024 on the same ground. The respondent and the Government Advocate opposed, submitting that specific overt acts existed and a prima facie case was made out. The Court, after considering the submissions, found that the allegations against the petitioners were general and sweeping, lacking specific overt acts. Relying on the earlier order quashing proceedings against Accused Nos.6 and 7, the Court held that continuing the proceedings would be an abuse of process of law. Accordingly, the Court quashed the proceedings against the petitioners and allowed the petition.
