These appeals were filed under Section 173(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 arising out of judgments and awards passed by various Motor Accident Claims Tribunals in Gulbarga, Raichur, Basavakalyan, Muddebihal, Bhalki, Bijapur, Humnabad and other places. The appellants include insurance companies and some claimants seeking either reduction or enhancement of compensation. The claim petitions had been partly allowed by the respective Tribunals, awarding compensation with interest at 6% per annum. The matters were clubbed together for disposal.
