The appellant, Smt. Yeshoda Parwar, was a passenger in a Kadamba Transport Corporation bus on 24 July 1995 when a truck driven by Respondent No.1 and owned by Respondent No.2 collided with the bus. The appellant suffered fractures of tibia and fibula of the upper left leg and was hospitalized from 24 July 1995 to 9 August 1995. She filed a claim petition before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, South Goa, Margao, seeking compensation for injuries.
