The petitioner, Trimbak Patil, was declared elected as a member of the Managing Committee of the Aurangabad District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. (ADCC Bank) from the economically weaker section category on 28 December 2007. Respondent No. 5, Nanasaheb Patil, challenged this election by filing an election petition before the Additional Divisional Commissioner, Aurangabad, registered as Case No. Coop./Eln./Ptn./45/2008.
