The petitioner, Anilkumar S/o Rupchand Ukey, was the Deputy Director (Legal) of the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (the Commission) since 2nd July 2012 and had been holding additional charge of Director (Legal) from 18th April 2019. He filed a writ petition on 28th March 2022 seeking directions to the respondents to produce all papers and proceedings for grant of promotion to officers and staff from 2017 till date, and a direction to hold the petitioner entitled for promotion to the post of Director (Legal).
